About the event
The first annual 5K Color Run/Walk, hosted by the Jefferson County Suicide Prevention Coalition in partnership with the Children’s Home of Jefferson County, invites community members to come together in support of suicide prevention and mental health awareness across Jefferson County, NY. This vibrant, family‑friendly event blends movement, color, and community connection to highlight the importance of hope, support, and local resources.
Participants will make their way through a scenic 5K route at Thompson Park (Large Pavilion), Watertown, NY, passing through multiple color stations where volunteers toss bursts of bright, celebratory powder. Each station represents a message of encouragement, resilience, and community support.
